Hi! First time chatter here, and I was looking to set up AIM/OSCAR for a third-party server host. But I can’t seem to find the actual protocol to modify so I can use it. Was it removed in a previous version?

Yes it was removed in version 2.14.3 long before the third part stuff existed.
It is possible to pull the code out from any version earlier than that and compile it external to make it work again.
But as there is no longer any official support from the service we the Pidgin team will no longer be maintaining any of that code.
