Welcome back everyone!

Things are slowly coming together.. We are currently rebuilding the Pidgin2/Gaim user interface on top of libpurple3 in GTK4.

Issues for the project are on the IMFreedom YouTrack and can be found [here](https://issues.imfreedom.org/issues?q=%23gaim3).

The source code is being managed in mercurial at keep.imfreedom.org/gaim/gaim3.

Um, Pidgin used to be called Gaim. So the name is brought back as an alternative version?

Yes, that was announcement was made in the August 2025 State of the Bird.
